Photo and videoperformance created by the artist during the Boca de Fuego artist-in-residence programme at the experimental creation centre MUNAR Arte in La Boca, Buenos Aires, in March 2019. The piece features the artist in drag as his alter ego, 'la Martuca' the maid, posing as an Argentinian vedette. In the videoperformance, 'la Martuca' polishes the rust off an old found pipe, to uncover the phrase 'Industria Argentina' (Argentinian Industry). The piece is a reflection on the gentrification process La Boca has experimented during the past years, in which the Buenos Aires Art District was created, juxtaposed with the extreme poverty that affects the borough.
