Exposiciones

Conmemorar y Celebrar, group exhibition curated by Mariairis Flores Leiva, and presented by Isabel Croxatto Galería and Fundación Mecenas at Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM), Santiago, July - August 2025

Literature

The installation, created for Trans Visibility Day in the central hall of the Valdivia City Hall, features 1,080 prescription dispatch slips suspended in the air, each indicating the monthly supply of Estradiol and Spironolactone used in artist Kütral Vargas Huaiquimilla’s hormone replacement therapy.

This installation hypothetically celebrates 90 years of hormone treatment, while also reflecting the trans community’s ongoing wait within the public healthcare system. Motivated by the historic struggle for rights and visibility, the work highlights both the medical and social waiting experienced by trans and non-binary people.
