Our represented artist Wladymir Bernechea presents his new novel, Cinco: La autobiografía cuasi póstuma del artista chileno Edvard Casablanca [Five: The Quasi Posthumous Autobiography of the Chilean artist Edvard Casablanca].
Cinco: La autobiografía cuasi póstuma del artista chileno Edvard Casablanca tells the story of a fictitious Chilean artist who, beholding the possibility of his death amid the pandemic, decides to write his autobiography. The novel deals with topics ranging from sexuality, depression and the mishaps of the art scene in Chile.
This is Wladymir Bernechea's second novel after 2021's Terminal Aérea (Ediciones Filacteria, Santiago), and his fourth book overall. This self-published limited and numbered edition features hand-made interventions by the artist, simulating the main character's sketches and corrections.
The book launch will take place on Friday 15 July at 7 pm at the Casa de la Cultura in Rancagua, Chile.
