Isabel Croxatto Galería presents LA EMBAJADA, its New Artistic Residencies Programme for Emerging Chilean Artists

News | Madrid, Spain

As part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations, Isabel Croxatto Galería presents LA EMBAJADA, an artistic residencies and exhibitions programme borne out of the virtuous relationship between gallery director Isabel Croxatto and the Chilean collector Roberto Piriz, whose visions of philanthropy converge in the desire to broaden the scope of Chilean visual artists to the world.

LA EMBAJADA is conceived as an itinerant territory of residency, production, and exhibition focused on promoting and internationalising emerging Chilean artists.

The first edition of LA EMBAJADA will take place during January and February 2023 in Madrid in collaboration with Galería Nueva, a gallery directed by the Spanish artist and cultural manager Daniel Silvo. It features two artists in residence: Paloma Castillo (textile art) and Vicente Prieto Gaggero (sculpture).

An Open Studio will be held on 28 January at Galería Nueva (C/Doctor Fourquet 10, Madrid), where the artists will share their creative processes with the public.

The residency will conclude with a solo exhibition by each resident artist: Res Non Verba by Paloma Castillo and Érase una vez el fin [Once Upon a Time, the End] by Vicente Prieto Gaggero. Both shows will be hosted by Galería Nueva from 9 February through 3 March in parallel to the international art fair ARCOmadrid.
