Wladymir Barnechea has been awarded with a 2020 FONDART grant by Chile's Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, for his upcoming project Pinturas Sentimentales [Sentimental Paintings].
Pinturas Sentimentales includes the creation of a series of paintings dealing with affection, closeness, love and interpersonal relationships, which - in the current pandemic scenario - are constituted as melancholy.
As part of the project, a series of interviews about affectivities in the context of pandemic and social distancing with a scientific approach will be conducted by Ana Rojas, Biologist from the Universidad de Chile, from which she will cross between the concepts of love and energy.
