Isabel Croxatto Galería is pleased to announce its represented artist Víctor Castillo's new solo exhibition, Caprichos, to be held from 5 July through 9 September at LeCluf, Colección SOLO's artist residence in the village of Castanedo, Cantabria, in northern Spain. Caprichos by Víctor Castillo is presented in collaboration with Isabel Croxatto Galería.
Caprichos [Whims] presents the latest work by renowned Chilean artist Víctor Castillo, created during his residency at LeCluf, Colección SOLO's exhibition space and artist residency in Cantabria, Spain. The pieces created by the artist during his stay in northern Spain dialogue with previous works in the exhibition, providing an insight into the artist's career, influenced by contemporary popular culture.
In Caprichos, we find artworks that invite us to delve into Castillo's creative process, presented in various media such as surfboards, sculpture, watercolours on paper, sketches, prints, and a large-format canvas.
Organized in collaboration with the Chilean gallery Isabel Croxatto Galería, the exhibition marks the beginning of a new project by Colección SOLO as part of its initiatives to support and accompany artists, such as activating the LeCluf residency. Located in the Cantabrian village of Castanedo, an old cowshed has been transformed into an artists' residence and exhibition space to provide new workspaces for artists and boost the cultural scene in the area.
