Fernanda Núñez joins "Ritos Corpóreos" at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Chile

Isabel Croxatto Galería celebrates the participation of Fernanda Núñez Camus, artist represented by the gallery, in the group exhibition Ritos Corpóreos, presented at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC), Quinta Normal, from 10 October 2025.

Curated by Daniela Berger Prado, the exhibition brings together Núñez alongside Gabriela Carmona Slier and Isidora Kauak Aguad, three artists who explore, through diverse materials and languages, the body as a ritual, political and spiritual space.

In a moment when contemporary artistic practices are increasingly engaging with notions of memory and resistance, Ritos Corpóreos emerges as a timely reflection on ritual as a transformative gesture. Through their works, the artists revisit the symbolic dimension of the body, updating ancestral traditions and challenging established social structures.

Within this framework, Núñez presents a series of pieces that continue her exploration of the human condition and its historical conflicts. Using a faux-naïf aesthetic and recycled materials, she constructs dioramas where the childish and the parodic intertwine with the tragic, questioning the boundaries between vulnerability and power. Her participation reaffirms the consistency of a practice that, through humor and irony, transforms the sculptural object into a vehicle for critical memory and social reflection.

Trained at Universidad Finis Terrae and with a trajectory that includes exhibitions in Chile, Mexico and Germany, Núñez has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices of her generation. Her inclusion in Ritos Corpóreos marks a new recognition of her work, now presented within the framework of MAC, one of Chile’s most important contemporary art institutions.

The exhibition Ritos Corpóreos will remain on view until 29 March 2026 at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Quinta Normal.
