Within the framework of CAN Art Fair Madrid 2026, Chilean artist Mara Faúndez was awarded the Acquisition Prize + Residency granted by Piramidón, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo for her work Sudoku PM.
This distinction, presented by one of Europe’s leading platforms dedicated to artistic production and international development, highlights both the strength of her practice and its ability to engage in global dialogues. The residency at Piramidón further represents a key opportunity for research and artistic growth, strengthening her international projection.
This recognition underscores the increasing attention given to practices emerging from the Global South, as well as Isabel Croxatto Galería’s ongoing commitment to promoting and supporting Chilean contemporary artists on an international stage.
