Isabel Croxatto Galería is pleased to share that our represented artist Víctor Castillo is opening his latest solo show, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, today 10 April at HelMel Studios, renowned actor Val Kilmer's art gallery in Hollywood.
The exhibition features new works on canvas and paper, showcasing a personal tribute of the artist to one of his greatest inspirations: the endless visual universe of classic cinema.
An exclusive 5-piece advance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was presented by Isabel Croxatto Galería last September for Víctor's special project for the curated section CUBO of the online art fair otra feria.
A limited-edition 192-page hardcover monograph, published specially for the exhibition, will be presented at the opening. The book includes 239 images from the last 15 years of Víctor Castillo's amazing career, together with texts by Val Kilmer, Merry Karnowsky, Kirsten Anderson, Monte Beauchamp, and Miguel A. Lopez's curatorial text for his solo show The Invisible Cage. The book will be available soon at Isabel Croxatto Galería, as well.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow will be on view through 9 May 2021.
