In this new series of paintings, Carolina Muñoz explores ritual as a symbolic structure that gives human experience meaning. Drawing on Flemish Renaissance painting, popular culture, comics, and dreams, she constructs enigmatic scenes populated by figures engaged in repetitive gestures. Moving beyond linear narratives, her paintings unfold as suspended moments where the familiar becomes mysterious, inviting us to reflect on the enduring rituals, desires, and unanswered questions that shape human existence.
