This piece was created using recycled textiles, including fabric remnants from some of the artist’s drag costumes. In this textile collage — inspired by images from the photographic archive of the National Library of Chile — a couple gazes intently at one another. This act of love between Matías and Francisco, the latter wearing makeup, opens a space to imagine love as something possible across the full diversity of human experience, where each person may be loved in the truth of their own identity. Through this work, the artist offers a fragment of their own story, of Nia, and of their loves: Matías and Francisco become intertwined through threads destined to endure over time.
