Cecilia Avendaño is part of Paste Up Santiago

News | Santiago, Chile

Our represented artist Cecilia Avendaño takes part in the Paste Up Santiago, a festival that, from 1 December 2021 to February 2022, transforms part of the Vitacura district of Santiago into an open-air museum.

Paste Up Santiago intervenes on the façades of key points in the neighbourhood with artworks by prominent Chilean visual artists, including Cecilia Avendaño, Santiago Ascui, Juana Gómez, Fab Ciraolo and Bruna Truffa, inviting the public to experience the visual arts in the city on foot or by bike.

Cecilia Avendaño's artwork EP 14, from her series Enfermedades Preciosas, covers the façade of Sur Diseño Alonso de Córdova. The structure is a former residential building that was acquired by the Aguadé family, former owners of Muebles Sur, who had in mind the creation of a new concept for an international design and furniture shop. The building dates from the 1960s and was intervened by architect Federico Rutllant in 1995 to give it the commercial tone required by the project.

Visit Cecilia Avendaño's intervention at Sur Diseño in Av. Alonso de Córdova 3026, Vitacura, Santiago.

Paste Up Santiago is an initiative sponsored by Lo Matta Cultural of the Cultural Corporation of the Municipality of Vitacura.
