Isabel Croxatto is a contemporary dance choreographer, performance researcher, curator, and cultural manager. She is the founder and director of Isabel Croxatto Galería (Santiago, Chile, 2012), a platform dedicated to contemporary art and the international projection of artists from the Global South.
With over 35 years of experience in the development of artistic projects in Chile and abroad, her practice is grounded in a cross-disciplinary approach that connects performing and visual arts. She began her career in contemporary dance, founding and directing Compañía Abundanza, through which she developed choreographic works and international touring projects across Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia, establishing networks with cultural institutions and festivals.
Since 2012, she has focused on the visual arts through the creation of Isabel Croxatto Galería, consolidating a space with a curatorial line centered on new figuration and contemporary practices exploring the body, memory, and cultural transformation from a situated perspective. Under her direction, the gallery has developed a sustained exhibition program and participated in international art fairs and collaborative projects, positioning Chilean and Latin American artists in global circuits.
Her work is defined by the development of strategic alliances with institutions, collectors, and cultural agents across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, as well as by initiatives that strengthen the circulation, visibility, and professionalization of artists. She has also led fundraising and internationalization strategies for large-scale cultural projects.
Her practice operates at the intersection of creation, research, and management, understanding art as an expanded field in which production, circulation, and reception are part of a single process.
