Isabel Croxatto Galería returns to Spain for the first edition of Obertura Carabanchel, an art festival held at CIELO Madrid from 9 to 12 September.
Obertura Carabanchel is an art festival where artists, collectors and gallerists gather to enjoy art in the neighbourhood of Carabanchel, known to be the most vibrant art district of Madrid. Located in the southwestern part of the city, Carabanchel hosts more than 200 artists studios, independent spaces and galleries, offering a diverse variety of contemporary art proposals.
Isabel Croxatto Galería will take part in the Open Garage section, featuring a special selection of artworks by Carolina Muñoz, Cecilia Avendaño and Paloma Castillo, and in the Cielo Arde performance and video art programming presenting video performances by Juvenal Barría.
Obertura Carabanchel is organised by the director of Galería Nueva, artist and gallerist Daniel Silvo, and will host eight contemporary art galleries from Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Argentina and Chile with a series of free activities, including visits to artist's studios and curated tours of the fair.
