The painting depicts a scene form the 1953 film 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' directed by Howard Hawks, with actresses Jane Russell (left) and Marilyn Monroe (right) at the foreground, playing the lead roles. A piece from the series 'Campbell's Soup Cans' (1962) by the American artist Andy Warhol is anachronistically referenced in the background. Curiously, Warhol's artwork was presented the same year Monroe died.
